What is OPT?

Optimal Pulse Technology (OPT) is an advanced, improved version of Intense Pulse Light (IPL). It uses selective absorption of light. The melanin in the hair follicle will absorb the laser, and the laser will heat the hair follicles.

Why is OPT better than SHR & IPL?

OPT is the newer laser hair removal technology that is more effective than IPL and SHR. We know that SHR is an improved version of IPL, but the old SHR technology is effective in the first 3-5 shots in one second. As the name implies, OPT (Optimal Pulse Technology) is effective with every shot, so fewer shots are required to achieve desired results. It is safer, faster and less painful than IPL and SHR.

How painful is laser hair removal?

Yes, laser removal does cause discomfort, but it typically causes much less discomfort than other forms of hair removal, especially waxing. Many individuals describe laser hair removal as akin to the feeling of a rubber band snapping against your skin.

What should I do before my laser hair removal treatment?

Shave the desired treatment area the night before laser hair removal treatment. Do not bleach, wax, tweeze or pluck the hair in the treatment area 2 weeks before the laser hair removal.

Do you put numbing cream on before laser hair removal?

Before your laser treatment, your skin will be cleansed, and a cooling gel will be applied to help prepare it. No numbing cream is needed, as OPT is super gentle and safe. Once the treatment is complete, rose water will be used to soothe your skin and reduce redness.

Is there downtime after laser hair removal?

No, laser hair removal generally does not require any real downtime.

How many sessions do I need to see results?

It varies for each individual and depends on the amount of hair and the type of hair removed. As hair goes through different growth phases, only hairs in the active growth phase will be removed. We recommend a range of 6 to 8 sessions, with an interval of 3 to 4 weeks each session. The intervals can be reduced to 2 to 3 months after 6 to 8 sessions have been performed.

Can I permanently remove my hair?

It is not possible to achieve permanent hair removal. However, OPT Hair Removal treatment can remove up to 80% of your hair over 6 to 8 sessions.

Is OPT laser hair removal suitable for sensitive skin?

OPT is virtually painless and is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. We will use soothing products to calm your skin after the treatment.

Is OPT laser hair removal suitable for darker skin tone?

We offer OPT hair removal treatment for guests with darker skin tones. However, the beautician will perform a skin consultation before the treatment. Darker skin tone has more melanin than lighter skin tone, which causes the skin to absorb more light energy, making the skin feel hot.

Do you offer Brazilian laser hair removal?

No, we do not. We only perform OPT Hair Removal treatment for upper & lower triangles and bikini areas.
